As part of its Sponsorship of The National Black Growers Council, John Deere hired us to create content that captured the lives and dreams of American Farmers. In this film we meet Billy Bridgeforth, and hear the incredible story of The Bridgeforth Family and their farm. From its founding by Billy’s great-grandfather after becoming a freed slave, through to the generation that lives and works on it today.
We adopted a real-world approach to magnify the humanity of the story, and used a number of different shooting techniques to give the viewer the sense of the magnitude of The Bridgeforth Family's achievements.
